Two-Ply Fabric

Two individual woven fabrics are connected by pile threads during manufacturing (Fig. 4.12). [Pg.152]

In carpet manufacturing, the pile threads are cut between the two basis fabrics. The distance between the two basis wovens corresponds to twice the pile height of the two carpets. In technical applications, double wovens with uncut piles are used more and more often. [Pg.152]
