Two-Dimensional Simulation of a SE-SMR Process

For reactive flows the governing equations used by Lindborg [97] and Lindborg et al. [98] resemble those used for the cold flow analysis, as defined by (4.228)— (4.248), in Sect. 4.3.2.3. However, to implement the reactive process, the two fluid model for cold flow analysis was extended by including species mass- and thermal heat balances for both phases. In these equations, the chemical reaction model, the heat of reaction, and the interfacial heat- and mass transfer terms were included. Moreover, the interfacial mass transfer fluxes also give rise to additional terms in all the balance equations. Nevertheless, the other model closures, the initial and boundary conditions used coincide with those used for the cold flow equations. Therefore, to avoid misconception the model equations used are given below. [Pg.614]
