Tungsten Scrap Recycling

Electrolytic Dissolution. The electrolytic dissolution of tungsten and tungsten alloy scrap in alkaline media (NaOH, Na2C03, NH3, (NH4)2C03) is used technically to recycle tungsten into the APT production (see Section 5.2.3.6.). [Pg.126]

From an environmental standpoint, cemented carbide tools are preferable to high speed steel because any tungsten in steel is lost by dilution (see Section 11.1) in contrast to cemented carbide scrap, which is a valuable source for recycling [8.10]. [Pg.309]

Many hydrometallurgical processes or process steps are used to upgrade concentrates, process recycled scrap metal, or purify aqueous process steams.
