Trinuclear Tungsten Halide Clusters

These clusters have also been described as incomplete metallacubanes, lacking only a fourth metal that would bond to the three bridging ligands p-L. Tritungsten clusters with pa-halides are rare, and monocapped group 6 clusters with exclusively halides were unknown before our research. In contrast, perhalo trinuclear clusters are more common for the nearby elements Re, Nb, and Ta.  [Pg.24]
