2,4,5-Trichlorophenyl acrylate

Theato et al. [19] studied the polymerization of activated esters such as 2,4,5-trichlorophenyl acrylate and endo-N-hydroxy-5-norbornene-2,3-dicarboxyimide acrylate (NORB, Fig. 1) using ATRP. They showed that the polymer side chains were reactive by performing a couphng reaction with ammonia. [Pg.22]

A reactive methylene may be joined to a ring-nitrogen by heating with one of several malonic acid derivatives methyl 2-cyano-3,3-di(methyIthio)acrylate [207IJ, a 2,4,6-trichlorophenyl malonate (1(M.I0) [2382, 3258] or diethyl ethoxymethylenemalonate [3S. The last named reagent was successful where several others failed. [Pg.678]
