Triazolate complexes manganese

According to X-ray data, 2,5-diamino-l,3,4-triazole retains its diamino form in the heterovalent cobalt complex 375 (91IC4858) and in the polymeric complex with manganese thiocyanate (93ICA53). 

Aza analogs of cyclopentadienylmanganese tricarbonyl have also been prepared.158 160,162 Application of this sequence to pyrazole, imidazole, and 1,2,4-triazole, however, led not to aza analogs but to coordination polymers.168 A mixed manganese and chromium carbonyl complex of 2-benzylpyrrole has been prepared.163a... 

Treatment of 5-thioxo-4,5-dihydro-3,4-dimethyl-l,2,4-triazole with sodium tetrahydroborate at 210 °C provides the new N3S3-donor tripod ligand Tt as its sodium complex salt [Na(H20)6] [Na(Tt)2]. Bailey also describes some Tt bismuth(III), tin(IV) and manganese complexes, which illustrated the flexible Tt offering a combination of the properties ot the Tp and Tm ligands.163... 

There are few data on the oxidation of noncondensed A-aminoazoles. Manganese dioxide converts 1,2-diamino-4-arylimidazoles into complex mixtures of the corresponding 3-amino-1,2,4-triazines (320), 2-aminoimid-azoles (321), 1,2,3-triazoles (322), and some open-chain compounds (76TL903 78JOC2693). The yield of 1,2,4-triazines 320 is usually less than 25%, but on oxidation of l,2-diamino-4,5-diphenylimidazole, it increases to 62%. It is assumed that triazines 320 are formed via a nitrene mechanism, whereas for 1,2,3-triazoles 322, the diazene mechanism is postulated. However, the latter may also apply to compounds 320.
