Triangle, graphic representation

Neumann triangle. Graphical representation of equilibrium of three surface tensions at point of contact of two immiscible liquids with air. [Pg.883]

The projection of a domain plot onto its base makes a convenient two-dimensional graphical representation for describing adsorption-desorption operations. Here, the domain region that is filled can be indicated by shading the appropriate portion of the 45° base triangle. Indicate the appropriate shading for (a) adsorption up to Xa - 0.8 (b) such adsorption followed by desorption to Xd - 0.5 and (c) followed by readsorption from Xd = 0.5 to Xa = 0.7. [Pg.675]

All spectra y , lie on a straight line between the initial and the final spectrum. See Figure 5-10 for a graphical representation. This figure also represents the plane in which all the action occurs. The visible part is shown as the grey triangle. It is limited by the positive part of the space, i.e. where all 3 coordinates are positive. Note also that [A]o is about 0.7M yi, 0.7ai, . Further, the final spectrum ym,-. has not reached the vector a2, . The measurements were stopped before the reaction reached completion. [Pg.227]

The graphical representation of these relations may be accomplished by means of an equilateral triangle ABC, the weight of the components present being supposed distributed between the angular points, e. g. CHCL, i. e. 42, at a H2O,... [Pg.77]

Next in complexity are three component pyrotechnic systems. They require a triangle diagram for graphic representation. [Pg.356]
