Transverse sinus

Davis, M., and D Aquilla, R. (1976) Acute intravenous infusion in freely moving rats through the sagittal and transverse sinuses. Pharmacol. Biochem. Behav., 4 469-472. [Pg.41]

In asymptomatic cases, the occlusion of an isolated sinus is typically compensated by collaterals or in case of the transverse sinus by a contralateral sinus of adequate size (Thron 2001). [Pg.270]

The unilateral hypoplastic transverse and sigmoid sinus with compensation via the contralateral transverse sinus. [Pg.271]

Confluens sinuum Superior sagittal sinus, transverse sinuses, straight sinus, occipital veins, temporal veins... [Pg.127]

The free or inner concave border forms the tentorial notch, which surround the midbrain and is classically described as attaching to the anterior clinoid processes of the sphenoid. The attached or outer convex border is classically described as attaching to five areas the transverse ridge of the sulcus of the transverse sinus of the occiput, the posteroinferior angle of the parietal bone at the asterion, the mastoid portion of the temporal bone, the petrous ridge of the temporal bone, and the posterior clinoid process of the sphenoid. [Pg.551]

The transverse sinuses lie in the attached margin of the tentorium cerebelli and extend from the area of the confluence of sinuses (internal occipital protuberance) to the jugular fossae. They lie in grooves in the occipital squama and mastoid angles of the parietals. The transverse... [Pg.554]
