Transmetalation to lithium

Actually, while zirconacyclopentadienes alone do not react with CO at —78 °C, the addition of BuLi allows the reaction to proceed, thereby leading to cyclopentenones 42 (Eq. 2.29) [10]. A similar transmetalation to Li has been proposed for zirconacyclopentanes.
