Put everybody in the company to work to accomplish the transformation. The transformation is everybody s job. The fact that management has relatively more control over the system does not mean that it has all of the responsibility or control. Although the system may be the dominant factor in an organization s performance, this does not excuse worker cynicism and refusing to try to do better. Everyone is ultimately responsible for their own behavior. The job of leadership is to enable everyone to succeed. Leadership cannot ensure anyone s success. A safe workplace can never be achieved without putting everybody to work on the transformation.
