Tracer cosmos

Although an enormous number of compounds are constituents of any 1-gram sample, as mentioned, this number is never unlimited. Approaching the lowest levels of concentration, where only a few orders of magnitude of each molecule are present, the number of possible constituents is such that the use of the name tracer cosmos is justified, emphasizing the analytical diflBculties foreseen to reach the lower levels.
