Rifampicin increases the metabolism of toremifene, and might be expected to reduce its efficacy. [Pg.668]

A study in 9 healthy men found that rifampiein 600 mg daily for 5 days redueed the AUC, peak plasma levels, and half-life of a single 120-mg dose of toremifene by 87%, 55%, and 44%, respectively. Similarly, the AUC of A-demethyltoremifene was reduced by 80%. Rifampicin may therefore reduee the effieaey of toremifene. ... [Pg.668]
