Another useful reagent for the preparation of alkynyl lodomum tnflates is [cyano(trifluoromethylsulfonyloxy)(phenyl)]iodine [737, 138, 139, 140] prepared from iodosobenzene, trimethylsilyl tnflate, and tnmethylsilyl cyanide (equation 71).
