Thiopyrylium salts, 4-methoxy

Amino-2,6-diphenylthiopyrylium salt (157) reacts with 4-methoxy-2,6-dipheylpyrylium or thiopyrylium (143) in acetonitrile in the presence of a nonnucleophilic amine (EtNPr, ) to yield the azacyanine dyes 258 or 259 (77JHC539). [Pg.135]
