A paper" and a section in a review article" have described the utilization of allyl thiol dianions and allyl sulphide anions in carbonyl group umpolung . 

One of the rare examples of an intramolecular Mizoroki-Heck cyclization forming thiocycles also involves substructure A (Figure 6.3) by reacting allyl o-iodophenyl sulfides 50 and 51 under classic Mizoroki-Heck conditions to produce 3-substituted benzo[i ]thiophenes 52 and 53 respectively (Scheme 6.17) [64].
