The steps of a ruggedness test

A ruggedness test requires an experimental design approach. It consists of the following steps  [Pg.85]

Selection and identification of the operational or environmental factors to be investigated  [Pg.85]

Selection of levels for the factors to be examined. In a ruggedness test 2 or 3 levels for each factor are normally considered. The ruggedness for the factors in the intervals between the factor levels is then investigated  [Pg.85]

Carrying out the experiments described in the design. This is the experimental part of the ruggedness test  [Pg.86]

Computation of the effect of the factors on the response(s) of the method, to derive which factors might have experimentally relevant effects  [Pg.86]
