The Random Micelle Aggregation Model for Sphere-to-Rodlike Transition

2 The Random Micelle Aggregation Model for Sphere-to-Rodlike Transition [Pg.26]

The random micelle aggregation model is based on the assumption that the growth of the micelles is brought about by the association or fusion of complete micelles, and this model is among the first models that have been applied to describe the sphere-to-rodlike transition. The model is characterized by the chemical processes expressed as [Pg.26]

Thermodynamically, the random micelle aggregation model (Equation 1.17) is equivalent to the model of stepwise incorporation of only small spheroidal micelles, which is expressed as [Pg.26]
