Romburgh [73] prepared this substance by nitrating Michler s ketone. Gali-nowski and T. Urbanski [74] obtained the same substance by nitrating auramine with a mixture of nitric and sulphuric acids. On heating with 2% KOH the substance was converted into the corresponding nitrophenol. [Pg.68]
