The photolysis of hydrogen bromide

Less work has been done on this compound than on hydrogen iodide. 

Donovan and Husain18 used flash photolysis to produce Br(2P ) atoms in order to study their electronic relaxation in the presence of various added gases. Their experiments were complicated by the participation of 

Britton and Cole32, in a shock-tube investigation of the H2-Br2 reaction evaluated kl4lk13)x = 8.3 0.7 and 10.1 + 1.7, withno temperature coefficient over the temperature range 1000-1400 °C. They also concluded that El3 Ei 2 kcal.mole-1.
