The Four-Quadrant Model of Thinking

While continuing to devote sufficient time and effort to your work, find time to relax and rest. From time to time, take stock of your life, and be sure that you are not underemphasizing, overemphasizing, or omitting completely some part of your life. In other words, try to keep all of life s goals and aspirations in proper balance. [Pg.99]

We know from experience that there is great variability in the way people think and learn and approach problem solving. In the past two decades, researchers have shed some light on differences in the way we acquire and process information. Here we examine some of those differences. [Pg.99]

Herrmann s findings suggest that about 7 percent of people are single dominant, 60 percent are double dominant, 30 percent are triple dominant, and 3 percent are quadruple dominant. He has concluded that individuals with different profiles tend to behave in specific predictable ways with regard to such things as time, creativity, dress, money, problem-solving and intuition.
