2 The evaluation of first and second order rate constants [Pg.53]

In this section we shall review the common practices for the presentation and analysis of rate constants for single steps of reactions. The theoretical basis of the problem has already been developed in sections 2.1 and 3.1 in [Pg.53]

The integration constant C is determined from the initial conditions, Ca(0 = Ca(0) at t = 0, when both sides of the equation equal zero  [Pg.54]

The properties of this exponential function and its application to many processes have been discussed in section 2.1 and chapter 1 respectively. [Pg.54]

The form in which the above expressions are used for analysing data will depend on whether the record of the reaction shows the disappearance of A (equation (3.2.2)) or the appearance of B. The latter is described by [Pg.54]
