Thallium uranyl carbonate

Thallium Uranyl Carbonate, Tl4U02(C03)3, separates as a crystalline precipitate on the addition of thallous nitrate to a solution containing uranium in presence of a carbonate. It is extremely insoluble in water, and the crystals, which are characteristic, maj serve for the mierochemical detection of uranium. 

For the mierochemical detection of uranium, the formation of either thallium uranyl carbonate or sodium uranyl acetate may be employed.
