Thallium , crystal structure

Gallium and Thallium. - Crystal structures are reported for [Re2( -GaRe-... [Pg.186]

The structure of and possible cation location in these materials is fairly well known (2, 8, 4, )> and their ion-exchange behavior toward a multitude of pairs of ions, mostly including sodium, has been measured and interpreted in terms of basic properties of ions, crystal structures, and pore dimensions. The major part of these studies is with alkali- and alkaline-earth cations, alkylammonium ions, rare-earth cations, and silver and thallium ions (1). In contrast, the ion adsorption of transition metals in faujasite has received little attention. [Pg.232]

Tetraethylammoniumhis(tetracarbonyliron)bis(/i-tetracarbonyliron)dithal-late(2 — ), [Et4N]2[Tl2Fe4(CO)16], decomposes rapidly upon exposure to air and is soluble in MeOH, CH2C12, and most polar organic solvents. Its crystal structure shows it to be a weak dimer of [Tl Fe(CO)4 2] and it probably exists as the monomer in solution.15 IR (CH2C12, cm-1) 1985(m), and 1908(s). It may be oxidized or irradiated to yield higher nuclearity thallium-iron carbonyl compounds.14,15... [Pg.227]

THALLIUM. [CAS 7440-28-0], Chemical element symbol Tl, at. no. 81, at. wt, 204,38, periodic table group 3. mp 303.5°C, bp 1447-1467°C, density 11.85 g/cm3 (20°C). Elemental thallium has a hexagonal close-packed crystal structure normally, but also exhibits a face-centered cubic crystal structure. [Pg.1603]

C6C15) with dimethylsulfoxide (DMSO), which leads to the synthesis of [Tl2 Au(C6F5)2 2 p-DMSO 3] or [Tl2 Au(C6Cl5)2 2 h-DMSO 2]ra, respectively.62 The crystal structure of the complex with fluorine shows a monodimensional polymer formed by repetition of [Au--Tl(p-0 = SMe2)3Tl] units, with gold-thallium interactions of 3.2225(6)-3.5182(8), while the pentachlorophenyl derivative contains two bridging DMSO molecules and an additional [Au(C6Cl5)2] anion. In addition, a thallium-thallium interaction of 3.7562(6) A appears in the latter (Fig. 21). [Pg.352]

It is possible to introduce defects in the crystal structure by site-selective substitutions in thallium phases. [Pg.750]

The compound, T10TeF5, has been synthesized by direct interaction of T1F with HOTeF5 and is soluble in toluene and mesitylene from which [T10TeF5(mes)2]2 mes crystallizes [177,182]. The crystal structure shows that the mesitylene ligands are -coordinated to the thallium atoms with two OTeF5 groups bridging the two thallium atoms. [Pg.134]
