Tetraorganotin Compounds with Boron and Aluminum

The tetraorganotin derivatives listed in Table 120 are prepared by the following methods. 

Cyclic tetraorganotin carborane derivatives may be found in Table 265. 

By rxn. of BuLi with (Me3Sn)2CCl2 in THF-Et20-CH2(0Me)2-C5Hi2 at -I3O , in high yield (1879)  

Stable in inert atm., neutralization equivalent (IO39). 

Structure of tetraorganotin compounds containing transition metals linked to tin by a hydrocarbon bridge is not always certain. Compounds reported to have a transition metal tin bond are listed in Chapter 6.5. The compounds summarized in Table 121 are prepared by methods from the following scheme.
