Tetrabase methane

Tetrabase(l %). Dissolve 01 g tetrabase (4,4 -tetramethyldiamino-diphenyl-methane) [(CH3)2NC6H4]2 in 10 ml chloroform. 

Di-(4-dimethylaminodiphenyl) methane (tetrabase) (0.5%). Dissolve 0.5 g tetrabase [(CH3)2N C6H4]2CH2 in a mixture of 20ml glacial acetic acid and 80ml 96% ethanol. 

Feigl-Anger paper is made by mixing equal volumes of solutions of tetrabase [4,4 -tetramethyldiaminodiphenyl-methane] and copper ethylacetoacetate (Brinker and Seigler, 1989, 1992 Tantisewie et al., 1969). Feigl-Anger paper is somewhat more sensitive than picrate paper (Nahrstedt, 1980).
