In 12 subjects, rifampicin 600 mg daily for 6 days halved the AUC of terbinafine and roughly doubled its clearance. Rifampicin is a potent enzyme inducer, which increases the metabolism of many drugs. Be alert, therefore, for the need to increase the dosage of terbinafine if rifampicin is given. [Pg.242]
