Tellurium Carboxylate Phenoxides

When diaryl tellurium diphenoxides and equimolar amounts of a carboxylic acid were stirred in diethyl ether or refluxed in benzene, diaryl tellurium carboxylate phenoxides were obtained. [Pg.628]

Diphenyl Tellurium IVifluoroacetate 2-Formylphenoxideh A solution of 2.28 g (20 mmol) trifluoroacetic acid in 50 ml diethyl ether is added to a solution of 5.23 g (10 mmol) of diphenyl tellurium bis[2-formylphenoxide] in 50 ml diethyl ether. The mixture is stirred for 2 h and then kept overnight in a deep-freezer. The crystals are collected by filtration and washed with petroleum ether (40-60°) m.p. 110°. [Pg.628]

Similarly prepared were the following diaryl tellurium carboxylate 2-formylphenoxidexh [Pg.628]

Diphenyl Tellurium Trifluoracetate 8-Quinolinaxide A mixture of 1.14g (lOmmol) trifluoroacetic acid, 5.45 g (10 mmol) diphenyl tellurium dioxinate, and 20 ml dry benzene is refluxed for 4 h. The mixture is concentrated and the concentrate mixed with an excess of diethyl ether to precipitate the product m.p. 170°. [Pg.628]

Diaryl tellurium diphenoxides and an equimolar amount of a carboxylic acid in diethyl ether or benzene solution react to form diorgano tellurium earboxylate phenoxides ... [Pg.604]
