Synthesis bayerite

At conditions that normally favor the production of bayerite, the addition of chelating agents (e.g., ethylenediamine, ethylene glycol) leads to the formation of nordstrandite (51). A number of different synthesis protocols are reported for nordstrandite preparation (51—53).
