Symmetry between the cyclical pathways

There is no clear symmetry between the cyclical pathways. Either an asymmetrical neuromodulatory level or an asymmetrical architecture of the available memory sets may be the reason. If this loss is asymmetrical on both sides, the prolongation of linEN may be accompanied by a prolongation of cycEN. 

But how can we explain the fact, that some tasks show an increased linEN and some other tasks an increased cycEN
