Ayurveda was described centuries before this. Hence, it is only natural that Ayurveda does not mention the terms immunostimulants or immunomodula-tors . The original Ayurvedic texts, like Charaka and Sushruta Samhita [3, 4], are written in Sanskrit, the classical language of ancient India. Thus, translation and interpretation of terms which may mean immunostimulant or immunomodula-tor have been the major source of research material for many scientists. [Pg.289]
