4 Surface impedance of high-temperature superconductor films 

The real part describes the conductivity of the quasiparticles, which are assumed to behave like conventional electrons, i.e. obey Ohm s law. The imaginary part of the conductivity corresponds to the inductive response of the Cooper pairs. The explicit relation between a2 and AL follows from the London equations (see any textbook about superconductivity, e.g. [20]).
