Sulphoxides, Selenoxides, and Telluroxides

A study has been made of the conversion of selenides and tellurides into their mono-oxides, using A -chlorosuccinimide or Bu OCl followed by alkaline hydrolysis some fragmentation of aliphatic selenoxides occurs at this stage.
