The chemLit substructure search menu permits flagging of atoms that participate in reactions. One could, for example, retrieve all instances of conversion of esters to primary alcohols. Searches can be done not only for specific reactions, but for such queries as "Give me all reactions in which an aldehyde is a product" or "Give me all reactions that use aromatic nitro compounds as starting materials."... [Pg.42]
