Subculture of cells growing on microcarriers

The following protocol can be used to isolate cells from polydex-tran (Cytodex-1) or polyacrylamide (Biosilon)microcarriers. [Pg.67]

Microcarriers have an advantage over flasks and dishes in that it is not essential to liberate the cells from their substratum in order to subculture them. Whether the beads are kept in suspension or allowed to settle on the surface of a flask or bottle they can be subcultured as follows  [Pg.68]
