Structural fire endurance experiments were performed on cellular GFRP beam members as introduced in Chapter 6 [14]. The mechanical properties at ambient temperature of the cellular components (upper and lower face sheets and internal webs) are summarized in Table 7.1. 

In an industrial setting few projects have a chance of enduring without the expressed purpose of fulfilling a recognized need. To prepare an item of commerce that no one needs is folly. In my work, I attempt first to identify a need that our storehouse of structures and properties may fulfill. Then we initiate probing experiments to determine if the expected results can be obtained.
