Streptosporangium roseum

A member of the cyclic ferrioxamine group. Reverses inhibition by ferrimycin antibiotics (101) acts as a growth factor for Arthrobacter JG-9 (23). From Streptomyces pilosus (8) also formed by Nocardia sp. (129). Deferriferrioxamine E = nocardamin = cyclodeferriferrioxamine G. Present in Streptosporangium roseum, Chainia sp. and various species of Streptomyces (148). [Pg.80]
