Storage chemical hydride slurry

This article describes the chemical hydride slurry approach for production and storage of hydrogen and the major components required of the chemical hydride slurry cycle. We have included a discussion of the preliminary economic evaluation and an overview of the work performed for mobile applications of the technology. 

Another essential feature of the chemical hydride slurry approach is that hydride, oil, and water used in the system are recycled. The way in which the metal hydride/water reaction would be used in a closed loop system for the storage and transmission of hydrogen is illustrated in Figure 1.
