TABLE LV. HEAT CHANGE OP REACTION IN LEAD STORAGE BATTERY... [Pg.301]

Calculate the change in heat content for the reaction occurring in the lead storage battery, vis.,... [Pg.93]

A pressure change of one-order corresponds to a potential change of 29 mV according to eq. (16). If the eq(H) value changes from -0.93 V to -0.64 V vs. HgO/Hg, the / eq(H) changes from 1 atm to 10 ° atm. This means that it is not necessary to control exactly the alloy plateau pressure, as is generally the case for conventional applications such as storage tanks, chemical heat-pumps and purification systems (Sandrock et al. 1992). This allows a wider choice of alloys for Ni-MH batteries. [Pg.145]
