Steroids point charge

With the background of developing novel radiopharmaceuticals it is necessary that a complex core binds to a variety of ligands to form stable complexes with different size, charge and hydrophilicity. This will enable investigations about structure-activity relationships in which biodistribution can be studied as a function of the physico-chemical properties of the metal-complexes. At this point the important question arises, if structural units are accessible which can mimic biological structures as e.g. proposed with Tc(V) compounds in the context of steroid hormones [41-43].
