Covariance treatment of TOCSY spectra with subsequent submission to DemixC differs from statistical total correlation spectroscopy (STOCSY) since it is based on spectral variables, ti, instead of different samples, that is CoVw versus CoVjs in the nomenclature of Noda, where Cov denotes the covariance generated map, v the variable and s the sample dimension.

Villringer etal (1997) performed simultaneously near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) and positron emissions tomography (PET) in five healthy subjects during rest and during performance of a calculation task and a Stroop task.
