Split site

The discovery of split inteins further advanced the scope of EPL into the realm of conditional protein splicing. As outlined above, certain inteins can be split into two halves. An advantage for a general applicability concerns the observation that the split site is asymmetric. This opens an access to chemical synthesis of the smaller intein half and hence an easy route to C-terminal modification of proteins with, e.g., fluorophores, lipid anchor, or other posttranslational modifications of proteins. 

Those originating fi om reduction of so far unspecified anion vacancies, which are remote fi om the H2 splitting site, by the surface mobile H radicals (Fig. lb, eqs. 3). They are largely dominating the Fs a (H) centres in abundance at 100 mbar H2 and are designated hereFs B(H). 

PART 2. After all disordered atoms one writes part 0 to end the area of split sites. It is always a good idea to make sure that in both parts the atoms are in the same order. This enhances clarity and allows the use of SAME (see below). 

Services that were required on both portions of a split site, and that the new licensees chose not to duplicate. 

The effect of this mild water stress on PSII quantum yield is consistent with activation of an energy-dissipating alternative pathway of electron flow in PSII, e.g. a PSII electron cycle or H2O2 production at the water-splitting site. 

This anisotropy was also studied by Mossbauer spectroscopy at temperatures down to 32 mK. The absence of magnetic hyperfine splitting in the Eu 6d derived signal was attributed to incoherent tuneUing of Eu between the split sites in the 24 cage [36]. The characteristic tunneling frequency of about 450 MHz was also confirmed by microwave absorption measurements [36]. 

For type-I EugGaigGe3o an additional shoulder is visible at about 10 K. This feature was suggested to be due to a second magnetic transition resulting from interactions between Eu-atoms occupying the 2a and 24 k (split) site [47]. 

A praaical way to cost activities/services is to plan out the cost of provision for a particular year group and/or individual pupils. There is a suggested blank format on the CD, Chapter 6 Example 2, for schools to use and adapt where appropriate, of which a sample is set out below. Clearly this exercise is easier for a small primary than a large split-site secondary school.
