Spirobenzopyran, azobenzene groups

The photoresponsive behavior described above is quite efficient. Only 5 mol % azobenzene pendant groups were enough to cause the phase separation. In the system containing spirobenzopyran groups, the efficiency was much higher. The isomerization of 2mol% spirobenzopyran chromophores in the pendant groups raised T considerably and led to phase sepeiration. [Pg.62]
