In organic solids the determination of rotating frame relaxation is severely complicated by the presence of the strongly interacting proton spin system. Spin-spin fluctuations compete with spin-lattice fluctuations to produce an effective relaxation time large rf field amplitudes are mandated to discriminate against the spin-spin event.
