Spin ladder polymers

For quantum spin-1/2 ladders, it can be seen that there are dimercovering configurations in any Up subspace, while that is not so in general. Particularly, when dealing with honeycomb conjugated polymers, it is worthwhile to notice that some subspaces do not contain dimer-covering configurations. Examples of this fact are the HH X and 7 i2 subspaces associated to polyphenantrene. [Pg.744]
