Sphingosine galactoside

Cleiand and Kennedy reported the sphingosine-dependent incorporation of gaiactose- C from UDP gaIactose- C into lipid. The product of this reaction was isolated and identified as sphingosine galactoside (Cleiand and Kennedy, 1960) (psychosine by trivia name). [Pg.609]
