Solvents MCLCP

MCLCPs have excellent resistance to a wide range of organic solvents and exhibit very good hydrolysis resistance, and the retention of properties in both acidic and basic environments is very good " As with gas barrier properties it is likely that the liquid-crystalline order is responsible for this excellent chemical resistance, and again it is found that the chemical resistance of MCLCPs decrease if kinks are introduced into the backbone.
