Phototubes with restricted spectral response curves frequently are referred to as solar blind phototubes. Typical of such tubes is the Hamamatsu R166, which has a sensitivity curve as shown in Figure 6-12, where its spectral response may be compared with the spectral response curve of the R106 (S-5) phototube.
