Small angle neutron scattering correlation length

A. Michels, J. Weissmuller, U. Erb, and J. G. Barker, Measurement of a Magnetic-Field Dependent Correlation Length in Nanocrystalline Ni Using Small-Angle Neutron Scattering , phys. stat. sol. (a) 189, 509 (2002). [Pg.11]

The correlation length has been measured using scattering experiments, as discussed in Section 5.7. Small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) data on polystyrene in deuterated cyclohexane at 0 = 38.O°C are summarized in Fig. 5.8. These data are in good agreement with the power law expected by Eq. (5.52), shown as the line. [Pg.184]

Figure 31 Concentration dependence of the correlation length (in salt-free polyelectrolyte solutions. Filled symbols corresponds to the small-angle neutron scattering (SANS) data (circles) (Nierlich, M. etal. J. Phys. (Paris) 1979, 40, 701 ) and light scattering data (squares) (Drifford, M. Dalbiez, J. P. J. Phys. Chem. 1984, 88,5368 ) in solutions of NaPSS. Open symbols represent results of the molecular dynamics simulations. The lines with slope -1/2 are shown to guide the eye. In previous papers we have reported on some detailed studies on the behaviour of the order parameter C, (T) which was assimilated to the correlation length for critical fluctuations accessible by means of neutron small-angle scattering as well some measurements on the molecular dynamics across the two phase transitions as explored by neutron quasielastic scattering as well as computer simulations. [Pg.154]
