Sliding window length

Preference functions were extracted from the data base of 63 membrane proteins selected by Rost et al. [9] and 37 soluble proteins of the P-class (SOLBl, Methods) by using the PREF algorithm versions with sliding window length from 7 to 19 residues. [Pg.417]

Demountable cells are similar in construction to ordinary sealed cells, but have no filling ports or drilled windows. The cell is frequently assembled without a spacer the sample path length is then listed as a capillary film. When using such a cell with a spacer, the operator must be careful not to get gas bubbles in the sample. The best techniques to use in assembling these cells are to slide, rather than drop, the top window into place, or to contact one edge and then lower the other edge until the top window is in place. [Pg.71]
