Sintering diagrams

As explained in Section 4.1.2, differences in bulk capillary pressure, bulk vacancy concentration and vapour pressure appear simultaneously and independently according to a difference in the surface curvature of particles in contact. Therefore, simultaneous and independent material transport caused by these differences occurs during sintering. However, there is a dominant mechanism that depends on the system concerned, sintering conditions, degree of sintering, etc. [Pg.50]
